Les déplacements entre cinéma et vidéo, fiction et documentaire, journal filmé et essai, fonction narrative et expérimentation plastique ne cessent d’influencer formes et attitudes artistiques. Ces questions sont aujourd’hui particulièrement fécondes à l’intersection des arts plastiques et du cinéma par un regard croisé des artistes vers le cinéma et des cinéastes vers l’art contemporain. C’est à ce lieu cardinal que pointligneplan situe ses enjeux depuis 1998 à travers la programmation et la diffusion de films, la publication de livres et le travail critique. À l’occasion de son dixième anniversaire, pointligneplan organise une série de séances exceptionnelles, présentant nombre de films en avant-première.

Olsen is an avant-garde/experimental film event in Leeds, screening short films and videos by contemporary artists and filmmakers alongside rarely screened work from film history. Olsen began in 2005 as a living-room cinema – where films and videos were shown to a small group of friends. Since then we have organised a series of Sunday afternoon screenings at the Hyde Park Picture House in Leeds (UK) where we serve a wide selection of teas and homemade cakes. Olsen brings lyrical, personal and abstract films to a well fed audience.
