Filmer la musique - I∆O : retour sur le festival

Les 27, 28 et 29 novembre derniers, la nef du CAPC vibrait au son psychédélique de plus d’une vingtaine de concerts de formations historiques et contemporaines, de films et de performances organisés dans le cadre du projet I∆O. Explorations psychédéliques en France, 1968-∞.

Cedrick & Guillaume Eymenier ont suivi l’ensemble du festival. En résulte un film d’une heure environ, documentant cette rencontre du vivant, au coeur du musée, et l’installation de l’artiste Lili Reynaud-Dewar.
Par ailleurs, dans le cadre d’un partenariat avec le CAPC, des élèves de l’Ecole supérieure des techniques du spectacle et de l’audiovisuel ADAMS à Bordeaux, a réalisé quatre passionnantes interviews avec les musiciens, menées par le programmateur et critique musical Maxime Guitton.

A Micro-Exhibition featuring work by Knut Åsdam, Zbynek Baladrán, Amir Mogharabi, Jiøí Skála, Future7, Nickel van Duijvenboden, Gwenneth Boelens and Cédrick Eymenier.

For Settings, curator Michael Capio is working under the notion of "micro-exhibition," which takes the function of display as a medium for exploring the conflation of artistic and curatorial initiatives. While imposing limited time constraints on the curatorial process, the micro-exhibition concept introduces a working model for observing the relationship between interdisciplinary projects, sound and design in the installation environment. Accordingly, the time frame for Settings will encompass an evening-length period, which will include performances by Michael Capio, an in-situ sound performance by Keiko Uenishi [o.blaat], late night DJ set, texts, screenings and projections.
